The original mansion built by Giles in 1758 fell in disrepair by the early 20th century. Built by the Bryan family in 1907, Mount Pleasant II is of the Georgian Colonial Revival style. It is eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places and has interior and exterior easements through the Maryland Historical Trust. Designed by the Baltimore firm of Parker and Thomas Architects, the home includes several elements of Mount Pleasant I's original decor, including the Chippendale staircase and lion's head door knockers.
