Blenheim Mansion
In 1875, industrialist Henry Amos Osborn purchased the Blenheim estate and hired Jacob Bull, Harford County’s master builder, to design and construct a sprawling, 17+ room mansion. Filled with decorative woodwork, four fireplaces, stained glass transoms, and ornate tiles, the mansion has remained relatively untouched since construction. According to the Maryland Historical Trust, Blenheim Mansion “is among the finest surviving examples of the villas built by Harford County’s wealthy industrialists at the end of the nineteenth century.”
The first Blenheim house of Smith and Sappington families, built in the early 18th century, no longer stands today.
